Brief Summary

The story relates to three pigs that leave home to try owo find their destiny. As such, each pig built a shelter using different materials. Two of the pigs build their dwellings with noticeably very insubstantial materials. The first pig build a house using straws while the other used sticks. Subsequently, the wolf blew the two houses and fed on the two pigs. However, the third pig was more cautious and used bricks. The wolf was unable to huff and puff the house as had done on the earlier occasions. He tried to use tricks on the third pig
but to no avail. He therefore tried to get into the house through the chimney but fell in a pot containing boiling water. The pig boiled the wolf and devoured him for supper and lived gladly ever after.

Paraphrasing Techniques

With regard to the story, among the people who have tried to interpret the story include Gomez in 1999, Amdur in 1998, Fazio and Ek in 2000 as well as Hokum, Goniff, and Crook in 1997. Each of the above mentioned took a different route in interpreting what they understood about the story. Each perspective will be analyzed herein after.
With reference to gomez’s interpretation, he took a perspective of symbolism from the onset. As such, he contends that literature is ‘rife with pigs as symbols’. To this, he likens the use of symbolism in the story with other stories such as the Animal firm by Orwell, and a topical Hollywood construction of Babe. However, he concludes that although there has been a significant use of pigs as symbols in literature they have been used to symbolize different qualities. He subsequently, provides that wolves have also been used but have been used to symbolize unpopular qualities within the society.

Conversely, Amdur, takes the viewpoint of history. With regard to the past happenings he concludes that the past usually has a bearing on the future. As such, he gives the examples of past tyrants such as Hitler and Genghis Kahn who were unable to contain their past experiences leading to society and self destruction. As regards the foregoing, Amdur brings to the fore the aspect of judging. To this, he says that ‘we cannot be sure of the wolf’s past’
Fazio and Ek on the other hand interpret the story in light of the problems upon which society struggles. They therefore observe that the use of evil elements in kids literature is a persistent trend. They provide instances where such literature has been used to illustrate good trying to overcome the ‘cruel forces of Satan. ’ They further declare that the foregoing is well illustrated by the Three Little Pigs story.

Further, Hokum, Goniff, and Cook interpret the story by making a comparison between the craftiness of pigs and wolves. To them, the story was an illustration of a battle of wit with regard to the cunning nature of the animals. as such, the story was all about testing the which of the animals was capable of get the better off the other. The three interpret the story by hinging their point of departure on their opinion that ‘pigs, wolves and foxes are among the craftiest of mammals. ’

Strength and weakness

The four interpretations help in understanding the theme of the story better. Further the different perspectives employed by the interpreters induce readers to think about the pragmatism within the narrative as well as the consequences. Further, the perspectives taken by the first three interpretations correspond precisely to societal ethical considerations. Consequently, the examples provided in each interpretation can correctly be associated with aspects such as naivety, ignorance, and indolence. Such qualities are rife in every society therefore readers are able to interpret the story in proportion to characters present within a society. Subsequently, the fact that the interpreters use other peer reviewed materials make the interpretations more credible as a material that can be used in research.

Identifying and Avoiding Plagiarism

Academic writing is usually within learning institutions are guided by rules which must be followed by students while doing research work. However, most of the rules are not well known by student especially those who are not experienced in academic research. As such, most students hardly follow the regulations relating to correct referencing.
Generally presentation of work that is not cited properly in any institution the world over is a major offense. While writing therefore students must at all times remember to accurately credit the sources they use regardless of whether the source used is a domestic or international material. In some legal systems the plagiarism issues may not result in a major issue. This study explores the impact of supply management resources on channel member’s performance. The overall research question is: what is the impact of supply management resources (strategic supply management skills and supplier integration strategies) on channel members’ performance? While supply management scholars would acquiesce that supply management skills and supplier integration strategies are essential success resources, other research studies provide descriptive analyses for these resources. This study extends previous work by proposing and testing the relationships between specific supply management resources and SMCCMP via a quantitative analysis. Previous research addressed the nature of emerging supply management skills that and their importance in enhancing firm’s performance (e. g. Carter and Narasimhan, 1996; Cavinato, 1987; Giunipero and Flint, 2001; Giunipero and Pearcy, 2000; Giunipero et al., 2005). However, the study of the impact of specific supply management skills on supply management decisions and performance was largely overlooked. Like other organizational assets, supply management skills should be classified as core and peripheral skills. Supply managers need to be able to pinpoint and enhance the core skills that their departments need. This study explores one category of these skills; supply management strategic skills and examines its direct and the indirect impact on supply management performance. This study is a first step towards creating structure to the study of supply management skills.


The basis of the study is the basis of management impact on member performances by looking at previous emerging skills and encouraging considerable skills within managerial departments (Eltantawy, 2008).


In this article the author provides information relating to supply management study. The article further provides information on past development of the management strategy and further looks at the important aspects of the approach. This article further explores ways that would enable the realization of an arrangement that enhances the supply managing skills (Eltantawy, 2008).


In the introductory part of the paragraph, Eltantawy establishes the effects of supply management strategies. Consequently, he introduces what he refers to as a research question and the aspects that the question entails as well as their effects on members. Eltantawy further notes that scholars would be in agreement with regard to the important roles played by integration strategies and management skills as significant achievement strategies. He provides an example of scholars who have written of the topic in the past. Although he appreciates the past and current aspects of supply management and considers them as important basic skills, he deems them as initial efforts towards achieving natomiast structured lesson of supply management proficiency (Eltantawy, 2008).
